A government-funded program that provides coordinated care and services to help older Australians live independently and safely in their own homes, with funding allocated based on individual care needs, such as cleaning and meal services. Does The Retirement Catering Company work with HCP providers to claim subsidies for meals? Yes, we work with many of the largest home care package providers to help residents claim meal subsidies. If you are with a provider who we do not currently work with, we are happy to go through their qualifying process so you can enjoy our quality meals. How much can I save on my meals? This depends on the level of your home care package, with many offering a 70% rebate on our meals. Can The Retirement Catering Company sign me up for a Home Care Package? No, this is the responsibility of the resident and/or their family. Once you have a Home Care Package provider, we can begin the process of becoming a meal provider for you. Do all Home Care Package providers work with The Retirement Catering Company? Although most HCP providers are willing to have us as an accredited supplier, unfortunately there are a few who do not as they have sole accredited suppliers they deal with. We will let you know before you start having meals. Do I need to pay The Retirement Catering Company in full and then claim the subsidy with my HCP provider? We take the hassle of claiming the subsidy with the HCP provider by splitting your monthly meal costs. For example, if your package allows 70% off meals, we invoice you 30% and the provider 70% and seek payment from the provider, making the whole process resident friendly.
